Frequently asked questions
Is Puzzlume free?
Yes. Puzzlume is being released as a free Android app, without ads, subscriptions or in-app purchases. All four games are included.
Can I play offline?
Yes. The four games and Daily Crossword work offline. You need internet to download or update the app through Google Play, or open external support links.
Will updating erase my progress?
Normal updates are designed to retain saved progress. Keep the app installed and update the same listing through Google Play. Clearing storage, uninstalling, changing devices or restoring backups can affect your saves. There is no Moonera cloud-sync service.
How are Crossword points awarded?
A target word earns 10 points, each distinct accepted bonus word earns 5, and first completion earns 30. Replaying the same puzzle does not award the same points again. Hints are free and do not deduct points. Some word sets have no bonus words.
Why are some puzzles different between players?
RailNest uses varied arrangements, while the normal Crossword collection mixes puzzle order and letter arrangements. Difficulty progression is retained. Continue resumes your current saved game.
How do Daily Crossword puzzles work?
Daily Crossword uses the local date on your phone, with its own points and records. Players on the same local date receive the same date-based puzzle; puzzles cycle through the first 60 sets. An open puzzle keeps its original date until you return Home to open another date. Changing the phone clock or time zone can change which date is selected.
Do daily points count toward collection points?
No. Daily and normal Crossword points are separate. Replaying a saved date does not award its words and completion again. Up to 366 played-date sessions are retained; the history screen shows the 14 most recent played dates.
Where are sound and appearance settings?
Open Settings in Puzzlume to choose System, Light or Dark appearance and adjust sound, touch feedback and reduced motion.
Can I transfer my progress?
The current release has no manual export/import or Moonera account sync. Android may restore eligible app data depending on your backup and transfer settings. Do not rely on a guaranteed transfer.
How do I delete my data?
Use Android Settings → Apps → Puzzlume → Storage → Clear storage / Clear data. This erases local progress. See Data & deletion for backup and support-email details.
